Experience

I am Ihor Barabash, a pastel artist based in Lviv, Ukraine. My journey into art began in 2022, almost from scratch, but I immediately felt that drawing had become my language.

Pastels were love at first touch, while music has accompanied every piece I create, transforming melodies into colors and stories. I describe my artistic style as “Dreamalism” — a fusion of the earthly and the cosmic, where grounded meanings, sincerity, and the symbolism of dreams coexist.

Through my work, I hope viewers experience a sense of comfort, connect with the emotions within each painting, and remain true to themselves. Most importantly, I want to encourage people to keep dreaming, because dreams are one of life's greatest driving forces.

The small joys and simple moments of everyday life are what inspire and captivate me. My work is an ode to sincerity, quiet happiness, and the unseen emotions that surround us. Every detail—from a smile to the play of light—holds a unique beauty and carries a universe of dreams, along with symbols that reveal more than first meets the eye.
