About me
Petro Petrovskyi – Sculptor and Sound Designer
Originally from the Rivne region, Petro Petrovskyi is a sculptor and sound designer who currently focuses almost exclusively on his personal creative vision. He is dedicated to building a surreal world of creatures, where his art serves as a reimagining of the human form. Drawing from his background in biology, he intricately merges human anatomy with insect-like elements.
His sculptures often evoke the aesthetic of ancient monuments or weathered statues. To achieve this, he works with concrete, intentionally incorporating cracks and gray streaks to create a sense of timelessness. His creative process follows a "stream of consciousness" approach: he allows ideas to flow freely into physical form, only later reflecting on the deeper meanings surfaced by his subconscious.
In addition to his studio work, Petro is known for his unique street art initiative, "Street Sculptures." As part of this project, he leaves his works in unexpected urban locations, transforming the city landscape through spontaneous artistic encounters.
